Riverside Lodge offered a delightful escape, reminiscent of a quaint Victorian experience nestled by the river. The location is enviable, just a pleasant 20-minute stroll from the city center, allowing for leisurely mornings exploring York's rich history. The hosts were genuinely passionate about their lodge, responding promptly to our minor queries, which added to the welcoming atmosphere. The snug accommodations, complete with a fully equipped kitchen and inviting living area, felt just like home, perfect for the small group I traveled with. Although parking requires a bit of precision, the cozy interiors and charming decorations made it well worth the effort, and I must admit, the stunning morning walks along the river were a highlight for us all.
